Without going into too much detail, I'm returning to my former employer. Same job, more or less, different department. It's that fuzzy end of the lollipop thing I have trouble shaking.
In a move sure to trash my chances of being nominated for mother of the year, I bought some soy nut butter and some sunflower seed butter. Deception will commence tomorrow. I have confessed to at least one previous instance of food fraud with Oliver. The fact is I regularly tell him a wide variety of things are chicken. Someday I will have to talk my way out of this particular corner. Not today.

Congrats on the new-ish job and good luck with the daycare/nanny hunt! I was very lucky to get my monster in at my #1 daycare choice immediately both times we started. Sadly, I think it's time we started looking for a new place, though. Just thinking about it sucks the joy out of me. Ugh.
Congrats and good luck. And food deception? I dunno, I don't get hung up on it. Of course I have to curtail the conversation when the question where does ham come from and pig isn't enough of an answer....
Congrats, again! Good luck with finding child care. When I was looking into it for Alex there was nothing available until the fall, and this was in the winter! Hopefully it's slightly easier for a 1 year old than a few-month old.

I forgot to mention that since Oliver now eats pasta AND dips it in tomato sauce, a whole new world of food fraud opens up. Yes, I have been known to put vegetable purees of varying colors in the tomato sauce. Shhhhh! CD has no idea either.
@allison... Google in Mtn View is opening a Reggio-inspired day care sometime soon, if they haven't already. Definitely check that one out!
