chew chew

I have been known, on occasion, to release my inner Martha. I had one of those moments last summer and happened to be inside a Williams-Sonoma at the time. A dangerous combination, to say the least.

The end result is that about once a week Oliver gets one of these babies in his lunchbox. He gives it a pretty good rating on the "nom scale".

That's a fun idea! And the shape wastes less bread, too. I give it a brilliant.

So glad I'm not the only one who has Martha Moments that early in the morning. :-)

That train is really cute - I love the thickness of the cutter and the nice handle/edges.

I keep a stash of the regular old cut-your-hands-with-the-sharp-edges metal cookie cutters in our lunch drawer and whip those out whenever a sandwich goes in her lunch. If I'm feeling crazy, I add eyes to the snowman or dino or whatever...

It takes all of 30 seconds, and it seems like the kid is much likelier to eat a fun-shaped sandwich (without the crusts!) anyway.

That's a good idea. I've seen it done before, but have never thought to do it with my fussy-non-crust eating 3 year old. Must pull out the cookie cutters. May as well as use them for something.
