hanging with the family


We're back home after 10 days in New England. Oliver had a great time with the family in Maine. The August-like weather was nice, especially for May. For the uninitiated, summer in Maine usually lasts a couple of weeks. The rest of the alleged summer months can be darn chilly.

Though it was warm, I could have skipped the black flies.

Maine is our absolute favorite place in the world. We would move there if my husband could find work. One of my best friends lives just north of Portland in Cumberland. They live right on the bay, which is GREAT!

I am plotting my next trip there--I am supposed to be there in July for a party, but the thought of driving there with the two girls just makes me ill.

I love Maine as well. My Grandparents live there during the summer months and in Florida during the winter. The only time I've been there is in October, and it was quite chilly then. It sure wasn't like our Texas Octobers.
